Outline for backend assignment:

Extension of Occupato:
Currently Occupato does not record any statistics regarding usage. We propose the hack session to consist of:

choosing and setting up a DB to connect to
creating endpoints that write entries into the DB when the washroom is in use and for how long.
If time permits, create a new endpoint and page that shows usage statistics.

How detailed you would like the data collection and data displaying is up to you.
