Probably because request was deprecated. In general, it appears that this isn't maintained, as it still uses rules which are also deprecated.

This is still an issue... Is there an alternative to linking accounts that is more well-maintained?

I downgraded to node 16 (tenant level setting) and this went away.

It's a shame this plugin is not up-to-date with Auth0's own latest features--from the old node version, to incompatibilities with Universal Login (don't think it can be used as far as I can tell) and the fact that it relies on rules instead of actions.

Basically it pulls an up-to-date Auth0 tenant stack back five years... I ultimately had to remove it.
