We could really use a more spacious hall this year!

For the last few meetings, we have requested a large enough space for about 50 attendees. Often we're given a room that can seat exactly 50 attendees. When backpack-wearing and coffee-toting folks try to file into the rows between the classroom-style desks brimming with open laptops, it's a dangerous situation at best. Last year, when refreshments came, there wasn't enough room for more than one or two people to access the refreshments at a time because the room was so dense:

Knowing that this happens often, who can we talk to at AAS?

I completely agree with this. It was really tight last year.

Since the venues change, it's probably good to reach out to the LOC each year... 2025 is back at the gaylord in DC, which we know has quite large rooms available that astropy has used in the past. Grant Trembley is the current chair of the committee that does the selection, he might be a good person to start with.
