Request: Dark Mode/Other Themes #23
Comments
-> just allowing the user to be able to select a customer background color (ideally including a pre-defined dark theme) +1 for dark mode theme, would love a black background as it would really look great on devices with OLED / AMOLED displays.
For the spinning record suggest using either a coloured vinyl record or just a more shiny record against a black background. |
It would be an awesome idea to use one of new Android touch control panel products like ITead's "Sonoff NSPanel Pro" or similar: https://sonoff.tech/product/central-control-panel/nspanel-pro/ https://itead.cc/product/sonoff-nspanel-pro-smart-home-control-panel/ They are not too expensive and have already been hacked to install any Android app + ITead also sell a desk enclosure stand for it: https://blakadder.com/nspanel-pro-sideload/ They have an internal USB OTG port but not sure if that can also be used as data for Android? https://itead.cc/product/enclosure-stand/ Anyway, there are by now many similar "Android touch control panel" products for wall mounting on the market. See example: Other than perhaps not all having USB port for data to Android OS, a other downside is that most do not have OLED displays. PS: Note! Not all such Android touch control panel ship with Android OS as some instead use Linux or just some embedded OS. |
This is a brilliant app, and I'd love to incorporate it into a standalone device for my Hi-Fi set up, but the current UI isn't something I'd want to incorporate into my current aesthetic. I think, even for now, just allowing the user to be able to select a customer background color (ideally including a pre-defined dark theme) would suffice without a full on redesign.
