Lex Vector Software License Agreement

This License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (the Licensee) and Marl Engineering, regarding the use of Lex Vector software and related materials ("Software").

1. Grant of License: Marl Engineering grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, free license to use the Software for non-commercial scientific research, educational, or non-commercial artistic purposes. This includes the right to install the Software on computers owned or controlled by the Licensee.

2. Restrictions: The Licensee shall not use the Software for any commercial, military, surveillance, or pornographic purposes. The creation of fake, libelous, misleading, or defamatory content using the Software is strictly prohibited. The Licensee is also barred from reverse engineering, modifying, reproducing, or distributing the Software without explicit written permission from Marl Engineering.

3. No Distribution: The Licensee is not permitted to copy, share, distribute, resell, or sublicense the Software. However, the Licensee may make one copy of the Software for archival purposes.

4. Disclaimer of Warranty: The Software is provided 'as is' without any warranties, express or implied. Marl Engineering disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The Licensee assumes all risks associated with the use of the Software.

5. Limitation of Liability: Marl Engineering's liability under this Agreement is limited to cases of intent and gross negligence. Marl Engineering is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.

6. No Maintenance or Support: Marl Engineering is under no obligation to provide maintenance, updates, or support for the Software. However, Marl Engineering reserves the right to update or discontinue the Software at its discretion.

7. Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of Germany, excluding the UN Sales Convention.

By using the Software, the Licensee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
