I've deactivated Wi-Fi Matic in main preferences, but both BetterBatteryStats and Wakelock Detector points to wakelocks caused by the app that seems to prevent the phone from going into deep sleep. Perhaps you're missing some listener unregistration?
I'm running KitKat. Feel free to contact me if you need logs or anything.
