This is the sketch file we made and uploaded to the teensy on the
sedgwick3d. After uploading the sketch, you can use the older modified
version of CreationWorkshop to control and communicate with the
Sedgwick3d.
When I got the Sedgwick3d, there wasn't any software that worked on Linux.
Ron's software worked but wouldn't run on mono as the z-level slicer only
worked on windows and some winform errors on mono (can't remember
specifics). There was no source available for those softwares so we found
whatever we could use and modified it.
It was about a year ago, but basically the sedgwick3d sketch we made for
the teensy moves the steppers based on the character it receives. The
modified CreationWorkshop was modified to handle the '/n' character at the
end of each gcode command and write the gcode specifically for the
sedgwick3d.
On a related note, you might be able to use the Uncia firmware instead of
this. The Uncia is a sedwick3d clone but (I think) it is supported by
current versions of CreationWorkshop.
Hope this helps!
