Passwords that contain a backslash fail #18
Comments
I noted this as well. This might be trivial to many, but might be puzzling to some, so it might be worth putting a note in the "aurvote -h" output and/or to put a default comment into the ~/.config/aurvote which explains this. Alternatively I'd suggest to put the password in double quotes so it doesn't get parsed maybe? Sorry if it sounds stupid, I'm not a real coder. But somehow fixing this at the aurvote side to allow for strong passwords seems like a good idea to me. |
My password has a backslash in it. When I try to vote, aurvote says:
I modified the config file and replaced the backslash with a double backslash. After that it worked fine.
