📢 Announcement: AWS Boilerplate is Evolving into SaaS Boilerplate! 🎉
Dear GitHub users,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you today! After three years of hard work and continuous improvement, we are evolving our AWS Boilerplate into the next generation - SaaS Boilerplate. This transition marks a significant milestone in our project's development and reflects our commitment to delivering even more value to developers like you.
When we initially created the AWS Boilerplate, our aim was to provide an opinionated full stack web app's boilerplate, ready to be deployed on the AWS platform. It was based on the powerful AWS CDK library and designed to reduce the time spent on system infrastructure configuration, allowing developers to focus on building their applications.
With the AWS Boilerplate, you could quickly deploy multiple environments, each representing a different stage in your development pipeline. It included a range of pre-configured services commonly found in web applications, such as front-end, backend API, admin panel, and workers, along with seamless continuous deployment.
Building on the success and feedback we received from the AWS Boilerplate, we started working on the next iteration—SaaS Boilerplate. This enhanced version inherits the robustness of its predecessor and provides additional features tailored specifically for building SaaS (Software as a Service) applications.
SaaS Boilerplate takes the existing AWS Boilerplate as its foundation and focuses on delivering the missing application parts—ready-to-use backend and frontend applications. It streamlines your SaaS development process by providing a production-ready codebase, significantly reducing the time and effort required to kick-start your SaaS project.
We are thrilled to announce that version 2.0.0 of the SaaS Boilerplate will be released as an open-source project! We believe that sharing our work with the developer community will foster collaboration, encourage innovation, and empower more developers to create amazing SaaS applications.
To align with this evolution, we have made some changes to our GitHub repository. The current aws-boilerplate repository will now be renamed to saas-boilerplate, becoming the new home of our evolved project. We will continue to maintain and enhance the SaaS Boilerplate within this repository, ensuring its continued growth and support.
Thank you for being a part of our journey so far. We sincerely appreciate your support, feedback, and contributions. We invite you to join us in this exciting new chapter as we embrace the future of SaaS development together.
Stay tuned for the release of SaaS Boilerplate version 2.0.0, and let's build amazing SaaS applications with ease!
Warm regards,
Apptension Team
