InvalidPlugin_does not contain top-level_init_.py file

I have Calibre 5.9 on a MAC and when I attempt to upload the DeDRM_plugin_7.zip file I get the error below.

calibre, version 5.9.0
ERROR: Unhandled exception: InvalidPlugin:The plugin in '/Users/XXXXX/Downloads/DeDRM_plugin_7.zip' is invalid. It does not contain a top-level init.py file

Has anyone else received this error? Any idea on how to fix it?

This is the file you need:

Make sure the file isn't getting unzipped on download. Do not unzip it. Load the whole file as is into calibre.

Had the same issue, this worked perfectly!

Just to better understand, why does the 'DeDRM_tools-master' extract all the folders inside of it as regular folders instead of .zip? I also tried to compress the 'DeDRM_plugin' folder and load as an extension but it would still bring up this same error mentioned above:

The plugins don't get zipped up unless you run make_release.py. If you just zip up the DeDRM_Plugin folder, make sure you're only zipping up its contents and not the folder itself.
