Until recently I was using Calibre version 4.23 with the 6.x series of DeDRM on my xubuntu system because of DeDRM being Python 2.
However I recently upgraded to xubuntu 20.10 and that broke Calibre 4.23 (presumably the final retreat from Python 2 is what broke things) so I decided I had better do something about it.
I found that the the Ubuntu repositories have Calibre 4.99 so that wasn't much help. So I decided to instal latest stable version of Calibre which is 5.9, that went totally without a hitch, I then installed DeDRM in my new version of Calibre. That too worked perfectly, it even picked up my configuration OK, I didn't have to reinstall keys or anything.
So now I'm back up and running, able to remove DRM from books I have bought from Amazon so I can read them on my Kobo reader.

Thank you Calibre and DeDRM developers! :-)
