We need to investigate whether and how much this is or will be a threat to how we do affluence measurements today.

So what does it says ?
Does the current code gives a ball park estimation ?

In this article, they say that

  • the randomisation occurs only if "location service" is not activated (which is rarely the case on osx)
  • the mac address is random but constant during a sleep period. If the user doesn't use its smartphone it stays the same.
