Deliverable

  • R package: HumpbackSIR

Package specification

Programming

  • Establish package framework
  • Help pages for every function
  • Unit tests for every function
  • Progress bar for SIR function

Science

  • Added flexibility for specifying priors
  • Include premodern whaling
  • Include absolute abundance estimates from ship surveys
  • Decide whether to include observed growth rate information? (More flexibility for including or excluding data from the likelihood)
  • Decide whether to include indices of relative abundance
  • Genetic constraint?
  • Estimate process error?
  • Environmental variability (Cooke 2015). Different from process error?
  • Don't fix shape parameter (z)
