SUMMARY

Can we add already some templates in the collection, in order that when creating a VM using this collection, the VM will indeed be created, with no need for additional steps?

ISSUE TYPE
  • Feature Idea
COMPONENT NAME

module > virt. I believe this would be the best place.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

At this moment, this collection will not create the VM automatically, we have to do some additional steps.

I can see some parallel projects already doing it, but it would be great to have this feature in this project.

@waldirio thanks for opening this issue. Do you have any thoughts about how it should work in terms of picking elements such as the CPU type, amount of memory, and other devices to make it broadly suitable? Do we assume a default network exists for NAT? What do you think we should do about the disk required to make the VM work, etc. Thanks!

hello @csmart

Thank you for your response and sorry for my delay. Checking more for something already running, I got this project, which is doing such thing

I agree that the minimal should be around, but creating a VM from a template with the basic/minimal required would be a must for this module itself.

Please, let me know what you think, and also, if you believe this is feasible.
