[feature request] keep some old contents while regenerating book notes

I love this wonderful plug-in! However I've been constantly adjusting my book template, and it is cumbersome to update old notes manually since I've added links and thoughts that could not be generated from a template. Is there a way to achieve a similar function like in the moviegrabber plugin?
