I downloaded version 2.2.1 but I can't change anything. It is the CAN version. I read everything but nothing can be changed. Even in the menu on the left, "Motor setting" is not displayed, but only "Motor" etc.
Am I making a mistake somewhere?

According to your screenshots, motor have firmware with limited amount of changeable parameters.
Try to read motor data several times, if problem still exists its definitely limited firmware. I wrote in README, that some of motors have this problem. On this motor you can only adjust wheel diameter and circumference, make calibration and see diagnostic data. Also you can change speed limit, but the max value is 25kmh for legal reasons (you can set your limit lower, for example for freight e-bike or children e-bike). You also can ask on forums for normal firmware, but I don't have this firmware and don't know way how to install it

I am very satisfied with the M500, only this FW that I have installed gives 20A to 21A. I wanted to reduce that so that the control unit does not leave.
I also had other FW with lower current, but this one suits me because it turns off the help at 32 volts.

If you find firmware with parameters available to change from program, you can easily adjust current limit, cutoff voltage, etc. M500 is popular model, ask on forum, they may have right one

I will try it today, I have one FW directly from Bafang support and there are a couple of them here on Git hub.

I tried all the available FW but it was not possible to edit with any of them.
Either it's blocked in the controller or it's my fault.

Andrej Pr could I ask for a brief guide to installing OpenBafangTool? Is it enough to just install the app in Windows or do I need to use the source code as well? I don't know much about working from a PC, so I would need help. Maybe it would help more people. Thank you.

I can't change the speed even if I use the older and proven sw for Besst. Maybe I have some limited form of tool. do you think this could be my problem? And that's why your program can't succeed?

Wypróbowałem całe dostępne oprogramowanie sprzętowe dla M500 36v, ale nadal nie mogę odczytać danych z silnika ani ich zmienić. Podejrzewam jednak, że problemem może być moje narzędzie Bestst. Nie mogę zmienić prędkości nawet jeśli korzystam ze starszego i sprawdzonego oprogramowania firmy Bestst. Może mam jakąś ograniczoną formę narzędzia. myślisz, że to może być mój problem? I dlatego twój program nie może odnieść sukcesu?

I never heard about limited edition of besst tool device. I don't think that its problem of besst tool. It seems to be problem of my program
