This project aimed to test the signup and login functionalities of the Demoblaze API using the Karate framework with Gradle. We successfully tested the following scenarios:
- Signup with a new user: Verified that a new user can be created.
- Signup with an existing user: Checked the response when trying to create a duplicate user.
- Login with correct credentials: Confirmed that valid credentials allow login.
- Login with incorrect credentials: Ensured that invalid credentials are handled correctly.
- API Behavior: The API behaved as expected, handling user creation and login scenarios properly.
- Karate Framework: Karate proved to be effective for API testing with its simple syntax and integration with JUnit 5.
- Gradle Build Tool: Gradle made dependency management and test execution straightforward.
- User-Friendly Tools: Both Karate and Gradle are easy to use and powerful, making the setup and execution of tests efficient.
- Flexibility: Karate’s integration with JUnit 5 allowed for easy test execution and detailed reporting.
- Performance: Tests ran quickly and efficiently with parallel execution in Karate and Gradle.
- Increase Test Coverage: Add more test cases, including edge cases and error scenarios, to ensure comprehensive API validation.
The Demoblaze Karate project effectively demonstrated the power of Karate for API testing and Gradle for build management. The tests validated the key functionalities of the Demoblaze API.
