Participation in Hacktoberfest

As you may be aware, Hacktoberfest, the yearly event promoting contribution to Open Source projects is currently going on.
Thus, I am thinking the project may benefit of the event by participating. What I mean by that is the project could gain more attention and attract more meaningful contributions.
If this could be of interest for the maintainers, the organizers instructions state that the project only needs to add the tag hacktoberfest to express its open for contributions. Then, contributors come on their own.
