Supporting Spring Boot 1.5.x

Since we're not too dependent on Spring Boot 2.x abstractions, it may be possible to add the 1.5.x version support.

You might be better off supporting 2.1+ because of #20

@bfkelsey As soon as Spring Boot 2.1.x comes out, I will support it. The intention of this issue is to investigate the possibility of supporting both and then implementing it.
