Sorry to let this sit for so very long! I was rather hoping to end up constructing the List Monad as the Free Monoid (on a single generator) via a left adjoint to the corresponding forgetful Functor (which I have done in some other repo, but the code has likely bit rotted), and then use the Monad construction from Adjoint to give the List Monad. |
