Breeze

Ergonomics meets Productivity.

Introduction

"Breeze" is a split mechanical keyboard with a column-staggered layout. With a focus on productivity, Breeze features a full 6x4 alphanumeric layout, arrow keys, and an extra 6 key cluster for typing and coding.

Getting Started

These instructions will guide you on how to replicate this keyboard design on your local machine for development, testing, or personal use.

For instructions for assembly of a Breeze keyboard once you have a PCB, follow the official build guide.

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

  • KiCad 6 or later installed
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuit design
  • Basic understanding of mechanical keyboard assembly

Installation

Follow these steps to get a copy of the project up and running:

  1. Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/afternoonlabs/BreezeKeyboard
  1. Open the project Breeze.kicad_pro file with KiCad

  2. Now, you can view, edit, and export the schematic and PCB layout for manufacturing.
