just ask this questions because the screenshots you show within your nice blog post at https://piwik.org/blog/2017/09/how-you-can-use-the-piwik-aom-plugin-to-improve-your-data-and-make-better-online-marketing-decisions/
are pretty old.

One can easily recognize 3.1 in visitor profile because numbering of visits is done right now...

hmm, it's not fully compatible.
Just identified it to brake some character e.g. german umlauts in visitor profile matomo-org/matomo#12000

With Piwik AOM 1.3.0 we have upgraded to the new Piwik functionalities.
