I am using the desktop client of the diagram application »Draw.io«. When exporting to PDF or printing a file which contains text using Source Sans 3, it is ignored and replaced by the default font instead, which is an issue on their side, it seems.
As I understand it, Source Sans 3 is the successor of Source Sans Pro. The later worked well in the above situation. However, the developer has problems to find the issues causing this issue with the new font version.
Can you please explain what exactly technically changed between the two font versions which might cause such problems? I know, it is not the fonts cause, but currently it is the ONLY font which causes this. I also know a font is a really simple file, but it does have meta data and such.
I am just trying to support the developer to fix the issue by trying to bring in helpful information. I can, of course, replace the fonts in all of my files with the old version, but that would be no good solution; especially when I have to change this back some day in the future when the issue is fixed.
So, anything that might help is very welcome! =)
