Repro Steps

  1. Download certificate (zh.vacme) (after second shot)
  2. Click on "Import PDF"
  3. Select the PDF

Expected Results

It imports the PDF

Actual Results

Popup with the following text:

Error

Covid certificate format is invalid.
(PDF|NCF)

Environment

Android 11 (OxygenOS 11.0.11)
OnePlus 7 Pro
OS language: English
App: Version 2.0.0

I hope this helps in reproducing and fixing the issue.

By the way: I really like that this app is open source and that you allow reporting issues via GitHub!

As a sanity check: can you try importing it by clicking on "Share" in a file manager or PDF viewer of your choice? A share sheet similar to this one should come up with an option to share/send the PDF to COVID Cert.
When going via this path, do you get the same error?

Also, I assume your app version is 2.0.0?

When I try that I have the exact same error.
Correct, my app is on version 2.0.0.

I have the exact same issue with my 1st Austrian vaccination certificate from May 27.
Import via PDF/share fails. Scanning via camera works.

The second certificate (July 8) imports successfully.

App version is 2.0.0.
Also present in Austrian version 1.0.3.
