it changes the colour of site for a second, then after the debuging prompt shows up, colour goes awway and no bookmarks, and when i click cancel, same result

If it says | None next to your xp then that means it's working (as that shows your current applied theme, and the default is no theme). You can check the Menu bar at the top right if Sparx for the "Settings" and "Bookwork" tabs to manage Azalea.
