Currently testing your V2 on a RPI 4B with HomeAssistant OS, it works like a charm !

Hi, I'm trying it out too and it's very promising. It makes quite an important change from previous versions. The system works quite well, but I find a problem: When accessing it, the library is scanned each time and that makes it take a long time to access the information. Surely it has been tested with a small library, but for example when you access more than 10,000 titles it takes about 30 minutes to see something.

Keep up the good work, I think it is a good project and it is very interesting the change made. Anything we can help you and that is in our hands.

I updated my v2 image 10.23.22, after noticing the recent updates to the GUI [ui: fix filters in library view]

Bug: Browsing the DB I notice duplicate entries when folders/file are added and names change.
-Is there a way to purge NULL / duplicate data from the database automatically - for example the ownfoil.db still had entries for old files/location after each library scan/update.

I manually cleaned up my db by removing null and duplicate entries manually.
Feature request: checksum feature be added to go back and verify folder/title locations and remove entries from .db that no longer exist
Feature request: hide (Unrecognized titles) from the GUI by default until the data is populated?
Feature request: an option to manually update title | ID and graphic
Feature request: Possible to add a counter in the GUI for total # of titles displayed?

Sidenote:
Noticed the 'up to date' and 'outdated' labels on titles has changes to yellow/green box icons.

I know auth is under construction, but if it helps, i tried it out with this morning v2 docker image (seems last commit) and got some critical bugs (shop KO until I set to public shop).
Fresh install, then I created 2 users and setup folder path. (1 admin user and 1 shop user)

Thanks for the bug report, there was an issue in the authentication flows. Latest build should fix it, make sure to clear you cache before trying again.

now Library is back but still a lot of titles without any Picture.. but i can find the ID in Tinfoil website.
also a lot of the titles are double in the Library

should i delete it or is there any auto clean up later?

Did you correctly setup the console keys? If not, filenames must respect the format indicated in the warning. Use latest commit (once images are finished building) to at least not make the app crash if you don't respect the indications

Most if not all "Title ID not found in titledb" are patchs, dlc's, additional content. These I am not worried about and never showed in the GUI when it was working

for example I have this game: DR KAWASHIMA'S BRAIN TRAINING FOR NINTENDO SWITCH

is found on tinfoil using the titleid

having same issue looks like something is failing in the way the titleID is pulled. Not sure i gave up debugging as my main language isnt python LOL

It looks like you're experiencing a TypeError in your Flask application. Specifically, it's trying to access the version attribute of a NoneType object.

Based on the code you provided, it seems that the error is occurring in the get_all_titles function in app.py. The line if title['version'] == all_dlc_existing_versions[-1]: is causing the error.

It's likely that title is None, and therefore you can't access its version attribute. To fix this, you could add a check to make sure that title is not None before trying to access its version attribute.

Here's an example of how you could modify the get_all_titles function to fix the error:

def get_all_titles():
    # ... (rest of the function remains the same)

    if title is None:
        return None

    if title['version'] == all_dlc_existing_versions[-1]:
        # do something

By adding this check, you can ensure that the function only tries to access the version attribute of a non-None object.

@a1ex4 is there a fallback page the webui can generate if any future errors occur?
I can still access the #settings page and the store via tinfoil still works.

How often does a commit get pushed after minor/major changes are made? should I stop auto upgrading containers and just wait for official version to be released?

The only issue with this my container only pull v2. So I don't know what version it was on previously to repull an older version that works before the recent WEBUI error.

Would you have an idea of a Title ID that's causing the issue, so I can test if the fix will actually work? I have a relatively small library so anticipating every cases that are going to happen is not easy.

Thanks for all the info, testing and helping out. It should be fixed in the latest image.

If you are testing v2 then you should definitely expect it to break sometimes, it's in active development and sometimes things may break.

@Torf you can find my roadmap / progress on v2 on the pinned issue "Release v2.0.0".
For the unrecognized files this will be fixed with the to-do item "Library: implement titles.json generation from all files".

What port should I expose to connect to my v2 shop from Tinfoil? I've tried using 8465 and 80 - neither work. I can access the web UI via 8465 just fine.

I tried using the latest Docker container instructions:

For reference, within the actual '/home/pi/hoard/games/Switch' drive are a few NSP game rips.

Yet, I am not able to access anything unfortunately when I try to use Tinfoil without any auth. This is using '8465' for the port.

I noticed that the config isn't dumped into the '/home/pi/hoard/games/Switch' drive of the device either (but is probably because of the related config setting that was commented out aka the root section.

I'm going to try to see if maybe one of the .nsp game rips is causing the issue though since I've had that happen in the past where a '.xci' file caused it to not load up Ownfoil when loaded from Tinfoil.

To be honest though, I'm probably just going to start resort to adding NSP games via FTP with 'ftpd' though since that's probably 100x easier than this. I miss the old Tinfoil shops though, but that's life.

Question:
If I am understanding the above comments correctly, is authentication working in the 'V2' docker image?

Authentication is implemented and can be setup in the UI. Config files are no longer dumped in the games directory in v2, see the instructions in the v2 issue on how to mount and persist config files. This shouldn't prevent Ownfoil from working though, what's in the container logs?
