Just wanna know... Is me bringing the Ex-mode back in the reason you keep shutting down the repo?

Don't worry. That had nothing to do with it. Many factors were regarding my own life AFK; pretty much stuck being a NEET until I go full Terry Davis. The major project related reason for the rage quit was the impasse regarding virtual DS4 rumble. Constant complaints about bugs that I could not fix since they are driver issues but also getting user complaints when I decided to disable the feature entirely in DS4Windows until a driver fix gets implemented. Pretty much a no win scenario there. People made it seem like the only route was to somehow raise over $500 USD, start my own LLC (or something similar due to MS EV certificate requirements) and hard fork ViGEmBus.

The main money I have had in the last two years has been Corona bucks. Kind of hard to fork over money I don't have just so people don't just continue to insult my coding ability.

I see. That settles my conscience a bit. It seemed like every time I did something with ex-mode, the repo locked. And I knew Ex-mode has been a thorn in your side for a while. I think we were all hoping HH would nuke ex-mode, but I think we've both noticed some issues with it...

I understand about the money. We seem to be in a similar circumstance there. My family is stuck on a single income until my kids can all be in school and I can trust one of them to watch the others... which is going to be really hard if the damn schools keep requiring a parent to pick up the students.... even though I live across the damn street..... I'm just trying to not lose my house at this point. Hopefully we'll both see some improvement there soon.

And I think I know what you mean about the rumble thing.... That was the infinite rumble issue I think? Because ViGEmBus doesn't know the difference between a lightbar update and a rumble update, etc. That was quite an annoying issue. I do miss the rumble in games, but I think I much rather see it turned off than have to deal with a constant rumble. I wonder why it doesn't send the full data to fix that? Maybe latency? They seem to be treating HH the same. They know there's issues with it, and even admit that certain programs still get leaked controller inputs, but for some reason or another don't look further into it. Nef even gets a pretty defensive about mentioning latency. But that's not my business and I don't know how the driver works well enough to complain about it.

Anyway... I've talked too much, I think. I'm sad to see the reason why you decided to leave, but I am relieved to see that I wasn't the cause. I've been trying to visit the github when I can to try and answer some issues that I know the answer to, just to help where I can. And if that Ex-mode keeps giving you trouble, feel free to replace it and I just won't update this fork anymore. HH seems to fix the issue for most people, and if I need a private copy with it enabled for my own use, I think I can handle that. I really do appreciate all the work you put into this.
