Describe the bug?

While playing in desktop mode, alt-tabbing or otherwise changing the focused window causes your avatar's hand to behave very unusually, often vibrating or rotating in extreme angles

To Reproduce

Equip a tool tip in desktop and then alt-tab.

Expected behavior

Your avatar's hand to remain pointing forward, or perhaps following the mouse cursor like normal.

This is something that we might not want fixed as a few users have used this functionality to detect if their tabbed out

It'd be better to provide the users a way to detect if the user is alt tabbed out (this should be requested in a separate issue) and fix the bug. It's also never a good idea to build features around engine bugs.

Someone needs to make that request and it needs to be implemented before this issue can be fixed so that users have a way of fixing their systems if this issue was fixed before detecting if a user's alt tab is released they will be left dry in the water

@ko-tengu Can you provide a video of this maybe? I'm having a bit of a difficult time understanding what is happening from the screenshots.

@epicEaston197 We generally advise using quirks and bugs like this as reliable method for detecting various things - if you do that, we do not make any guarantees that it'll keep working.

We can consider adding a proper mechanism in this case, depending on the complexity, but we will not hold up bugfixes because of this in general - if you don't want it to break, don't use stuff like that.

The exact kind of weird you get depends on what you're doing on alt-tab and your avatar, so it can be a little tricky to replicate. I find it happens most extremely if I have the dash open and then alt-tab.
