Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

When setting up 2FA, there are two options to enter the string to a password manager/OTP app:

  1. Scan the QR code using a phone
  2. Type manually the plaintext string a desktop password manager if you don't want to use a phone one

However, the second method is very frustrating.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add a way to copy that string directly, by either having a button near it, or by clicking on it, so it is easy to paste it into desktop only password managers.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Few solutions but that are extra steps:

  • Scan the QR using a phone and message yourself with the string (not very secure)
  • Type it by hand (time consuming)
  • Take a screenshot and use text recognition
