Describe the bug
When using System Event Mode, and 'Show When Using Touch Bar Sliders' is off, volume HUD won't appear on screen.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Set 'Event Controller Mode' to 'System'
  2. Go to 'Audio'
  3. Disable 'Show When Using Touch Bar Sliders'
  4. Try changing volume with top-row keys
  5. See error

Expected behavior
Brightness works. Keyboard Brightness doesn't work (but it doesn't have this slider)

Please complete the following information:

  • OS: [Sonoma 14.4 (23E214)]
  • Device [MacBook Pro 16 M3 Max]
  • Version [3.2.0 build 265]

In case of a keyboard-related issue, please specify the used keyboard:

  • Layout: [USA]
  • non-touchbar

Additional context
Keyboard Brightness worked in 3.0.7 build 249 (using this version now) with either 'Show When Using Touch Bar Sliders' on/off
Sorry for putting two bugs in one report, noticed the second one accidentally.

Thank you for the bug report. I will look into the issue. Keeping the touchbar setting enabled should work fine for now.
As for keyboard brightness, I'm aware of the issue. At the moment, it only works in the keyboard event mode.
