Hi! Thanks for the great work!
As Soundsource is one of the most popular sound control for macOS. And their powerful function "Super Volume Keys" is so usefull. That wonderfull if you could find sometimes to research about it to make it work with MediaMate.

Currently for some source with macOS not natively support to change volume ( in my case is to my Dell monitor via DP/USB C) thí function help to make the volume key on keyboard work and change the volume level. ( the system HUD work fine) but MediaMate not regconnize it as a changable source so it not show the HUD when buttons pressed.

It only show when I access the setting.

MediaMate currently does not offer support for SoundSource. Depending on your use case, you might be able to use BetterDisplay, which MediaMate does offer a compatibility mode for

Use loopback, it will let you use volume controls and shows up in MediaMate. Set it up like so:

Then select whatever you named it as from he control center (in my case: “Soundbar”)

Is this something similar to SoundSource? I have been getting quite a lot of questions about SoundSource, and it would be great if I could recommend an alternative

It is by the same company. However, you do have to purchase it separately. https://www.rogueamoeba.com/loopback/
It works well with SoundSource but it is not a replacement for SoundSource

It do diferent things
Soundsource is like a audio mixer for all app

Loopback is for when you need route sound to a specific route and create it as a new vitrual device.
