This issue #7845 reflects how is not clear that a block can currently be restricted to only be the child of a Post Type

At least, a note about this capability should be added to the Parent section at Home / Block Editor Handbook / Reference Guides / Block API Reference / Metadata in block.json

Can anyone confirm that you can also restrict a block to be the child of a CPT and provide an example of how this can be done?
(according to this comment from @mtias it should)
