Trademark infringement complain from [email protected]

A few weeks ago I setup a Android app called USA Group Links that lists Group links for WhatsApp , since then I have been getting trademark infringement complains from a company called: enf-meta.com.

Is this legit? I emailed the WhatsApp customer support and they said it is not them. They are also not mailing from a @meta.com email address.

They are real or fake ? their web https://enf-meta.com/

These types of complaints are typically legitimate, especially when they come from IP & DNS Enforcement Group in Menlo Park. The "enf" in "enf-meta" stands for "enforcement." Check out #138 for more details.

The best advice would be to follow the instructions in the letter which should say something along the lines of

the domain name XYZ contains the ABC trademark

Try changing XYZ to not contain ABC.

For instance:

We write on behalf of WhatsApp LLC regarding the hosting and use of the domain name whatsapp-proxy.example.com which contains the famous WHATSAPP trademark.

Change whatsapp-proxy.example.com to something more like vanilla-proxy.example.com
