Unity Editor Crash Exiting Playmode #133

Unity support team asked me to create an issue here.

  • Issue: Editor crashed while exiting playmode with base stations turned off.
  • Stack trace: "at Valve.VR.CVRChaperone:GetPlayAreaSize <0x00055>"
  • Headset: HTC Vive.

Hi, please reproduce the issue and then include the unity editor log (%LocalAppData%\Unity\Editor\Editor.log) as well as a SteamVR System Report (SteamVR Menu -> Create System Report -> Save to file)

Can you try reproducing with the beta and see if that helps? https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steamvr_unity_plugin/releases/tag/2.8.0b1

Okay so I set up an isolated project to test with the beta and no change. Here is the editor log:
