The vcpkg team maintains a port of libArcus. Due to standardprojectsettings it is difficult to update the version there to latest. We are stuck with libArcus 4.x for now.

Anyways, neither 5.x nor 4.x support protobuf v5. Can you add support for it? See potential patch here: https://github.com/microsoft/vcpkg/blob/052b06a95da4cee184bab4422e02e7f316055a99/ports/arcus/0001-fix-protobuf-deprecated.patch
