Exposure Feedback Outside of Live View

Live View only approximates the actual exposure. It is not capable of fully previewing things like shutter speed or ISO as these are time-dependent settings.

Consequently, we should consider how to more accurately measure exposure across all cameras in bulk without leaning on live view. This could involve taking a quick image, downloading it to the computer, and examining its histogram and pixels for over/under exposed areas. However, other approaches may be welcome. Some time spent exploring the EDSDK and what means it can provide to retrieve exposure data beyond just taking a picture would be warranted!
