Hi, thank you for your report.

Tribler depends on the BitTorrent protocol to retrieve metadata. If there are no peers that wish* to serve you this metadata, you will be stuck in this state.

From the logs that you posted, I don't see any errors in the Tribler software itself. This means that the root cause of your issue is more likely a lack of helpful peers than something that we can fix in code. Though it is sad; because there is nothing we can do, I will close this issue.

*In some cases, peers may refuse to serve connections that flow through our anonymization network.

It's weird, because I had tested these links before, therefore they MUST work properly.
I have tested them on Experimental version, and it works! BUT after close and open programm nothing again.

I cannot reproduce your issue. So, I'm fully dependent on what information you can give me. I have two ideas right now.

I looked over your log output again and I spotted that your configuration directory seems to be AppData\Roaming.Tribler, instead of AppData\Roaming\.Tribler. There might be a setting somewhere pointing at the wrong directory.

Another possible cause could be that the configuration files that Tribler uses to save downloads are somehow corrupted (or owned by Administrator or something). This should be easy to check: could you look at your %APPDATA%\.Tribler\7.14\dlcheckpoints directory (it should not be empty) and see if you're allowed to copy and remove files in there? Perhaps, you could also open some of the files in notepad to make sure there is no weird binary data being written in there.

1. WITHOUT vpn tribler can't reach BitTorrent or whatever he reached))

2. after downloading started i can dissable vpn.

3. while downloading i add new torrent and it started without vpn.

i had problems for last month with 14.0 without vpn. i will test 8.0 next week, but now it is working good.

Good to hear that the connection issues seem to be over.

You should be able to import your old downloads by going into the Settings / Versions tab and then clicking "IMPORT" on your old version.
