Select is wired to ESC on most Miyoo devices. That's why the emulator is quitting when pressing Select: because it has the PC controls/keys set. Unfortunately, without editing the source code and recompiling the emulator, I don't know of any way to change this default key mapping. The standalone Game & Watch emulator on Miyoo still needs work... |

This issue has been resolved and the solution has been posted at the link below along with instruction on how you can update the core before it's made available in a stable release. Much thanks to the developers. |

I am experiencing an issue with the Game & Watch emulator where it comes to controls. The emulator launches fine and loads the game just fine. The select button is supposed to let you cycle through the button options like "Game A" or "Game B" and pressing Start to simulate a press of those button. The issue is that as soon as I press Select button, that's configured to exit the emulator. Is there a way I can configure the buttons manually to separate out those functions? I have 1.3.3 Installed on a Powkiddy V90. I Fn key is not mapped to do anything.
I am aware of the workaround that installing Retroarch and using the MAME core or the Handheld Electronic (GW) core loads the games and the select button functions as expected, but that is not the best experience, These Retroarch cores show the gams as the full form (unaltered) and they function fine, but look really tiny, especially for the two screen games. The Emulator included in the Miyoo CFW is doing some kind of customized cropping of the screen for each game to utilize the small screen the best way by cropping out the non screen parts. Have a look at the screenshots below for comparison.
An alternate solution would be if I can somehow get these customized cropping to show up in Retroarch as well, but I don't know where to start.
Game & Watch Emulator
This emulator is customized in a way that it is cropped to utilize the usable part of the screen most efficiently. No other core in Retroarch does this.
Pressing Start shows the controls
Pressing select immediately shows this credits screen before actually exiting.
Core Information if it helps.
Retroarch workaround showing the full device, but screen is tiny in comparison to the Miyoo Emulator.
