You have inappropriate/bad dumps/ROMs. Metal Slug 1, 2, and X run fine out of the box in GnGeo. 3 requires a special conversion to get it to work. I'm not sure if Metal Slug 4 and 5 would run well if converted. (I don't play Neo Geo games from the 2000s, and GnGeo was designed to work with Neo Geo games from the 90s.)
