Where do I put disksys.rom for any NES core in retroarch?

I have an FDS game that crashes on the title screen, and it ONLY happens on FCEUX. If I want to use an NES core to emulate an FDS rom on RetroArch, where do I put these files for the following cores?

NEStopia
QuickNES
FCEUmm

By default RetroArch looks for BIOS files in its own installation/root folder. This is normally recommended to be changed in the main RetroArch config/settings ("retroarch.cfg") to a folder called "system" under the RetroArch installation/root folder.

On Miyoo, the "system" folder is located/expected in the (hidden) ".retroarch" folder.

Turns out Apple Town Story does not work on FCEUX (on Windows (and the latest version, too) and PocketGo) and FCEUmm on Windows. It does seem to work on FCEUmm for PocketGo, so I don't know which version of FCEUmm the game works on.

Also found out Mesen and NESTopia are not compatible with Dingux. (also found out that the Powkiddy Q90 and Bittboy PocketGo v1 are the exact same system, but with different casing)

Forgot about the config file until now. Now the game works, but the game lags a bit (skippy audio and slower gameplay). Any remedy to fix the lag on the FCEUmm core?

Most likely not. You can reduce the audio sampling quality, and increase frameskip. Those will help the processor keep up. The challenge you're facing here is that this is essentially an early PC game (the FDS is closer to PC than to NES):

Which means it's quite demaning on the ARM/mobile processor. You're feeling the hardware's limitations here -- you're pushing the device to its limits.

That being said, you could also increase the processor's functioning speed (overclocking it) -- you can do this directly in GMenuNX (by editing the emulator's link/shortcut) -- and see if that gives you a better performance. Just bear in mind that you're heavily using/stressing the processor while playing this game on a Miyoo device.
