why is my mood is like described? past two days I deleted ~2000 scam comments from ~30 accounts on just one relatively small channel ( just over million subscribers). It's clear, that there are at least few people with scam scripts are sitting behind (because several videos are scammed simultaneously and spam scripts are paused when I start to delete - so to avoid immediate deletion - so someone monitors a process) - and it's just on one channel, and dozens of channel owners complain on twitter every day - so the organization behind scam is pretty substantial and quite creative (such that they tried to scam with hundreds comments each with different text, so no 'repeated comments'). But as there is an organization with multiple people working - so this could be found and obviously as scamming is criminal act - persecuted. |

I feel like current Youtube efforts to fight scam/spam effectively failed. Yes, youtube developers could be more creative (check for more unicode symbols, as scammers already use other unicode symbols for phone numbers and pass new unicode symbols protection; use those advertised language models to detect offer of gift or prize or other things of this kind - seems if AI cannot act as human - it can figure out what comment is about pretty well)
But it might be that youtube code is a mess (such that scanning of community posts with API was refused) and those mentioned features just will take years to integrate.
So what are other options?
I think if some top youtubers (or Youtube itself - but again it seems it is so heavy and slow organization that it's almost impossible to expect from them) could gather and offer rewards for information which could be used in criminal investigation (even in India, where it seems some of most notorious scam centers are located) that could be a solution.
Could an Youtube anti scam non profit be setup and then Youtubers who are interested to join advertise it?
it's really time to stop criminal activity on social networks and probably anti spam non profit with rewards for complete info about illegal activity which could be used in courts could be a good step forward towards scam/spam free internet of the future?
