Retro-bit Big 6 controller not working when Hakchi installed. #448
Comments
I've experienced the same behavior with the Big6 as well as the regular "V2" 2.4Ghz 6-button Genesis controller from Retro-bit. Unknown if it happens with the V1. I've found that the controllers work with Project Lunar installed, but obviously getting it to work in Hakchi would be preferable. |
I can confirm this is also an issue with V2 Saturn controller. Uninstalling Hakchi makes it work properly, something about Hakchi is breaking the controller mapping. |
Big6 2.4ghz, 8bitdo m30 Bluetooth with v1&2 adapters and retro-bit Saturn Bluetooth 8 button controller connected to a mayflash pro 2 does not work. Looks like a global mapping issue when hakchi installed. Update! as PeytonRG says below I can also confirm my m30 2.4g works with both the stock UI and retroarch with the built in config files |
I have had success with the 2.4Ghz 8Bitdo M30 with the controller and its USB receiver on their latest firmwares, but it seems no Retro-bit 2.4Ghz controllers will work. |
This, and other issues related to drivers and kernel issues, should be posted here: https://github.com/madmonkey1907/sun-nontendocm-kernel/issues. This repository does not contain the kernel code. |
It's happening to me as well. Just bought a Retro-bit 2.4ghz 8button controller v2 and a Big6 controller and none of them work when Hackchi is installed. Is there any hope to being able to use these? They are pretty good controllers. |
V1 controllers do work properly. I have two of them since last year and had no issues with them. |
Describe the bug
When Genesis mini is factory set, and default kernel is running the Big6 2.4 wireless controller works as intended. When Hakchi kernel is installed the d pad stops working and buttons are mapped to different buttons
To Reproduce
Installing Hakchi causes the controller buttons to be remapped and dpad not to work. It doesn't matter if new games are added or not and when custom kernel is removed the controller behaves like normal. All USB genesis controllers don't have this issue.
