Is this repo still actively maintained?

Hello, we are evaluating this plugin for use in a project but noticed that there are some issues/PRs that have been outstanding for a long time, and the last contributions were 8 months ago... is this repo actively maintained, and if not are there any good alternatives?

Just my personal experience - there aren't any good alternatives to the functionality this plugin provides. It doesn't seem that this repo is actively maintained at this point in time. We are getting by patching what we can. The only alternative seems to be either writing a similar plugin from scratch or forking this repo.
