Digital Singularity storage cells are too cheap for their storage capacity, allowing one to access infinite item and fluid storage (of a single type each per cell) by midgame. In fact, there is no need to make MEGA cells at all, as by the time one has the resources to produce them, they also have the resources to produce a similar number of Digital Singularity storage cells.
For items, there is the MEGA Bulk Item Storage Cell, which costs an MEGA Bulk Storage Component, which costs (among other things) a 2³ Spatial Component and a 1M MEGA Storage Component.
For fluids, there is the Digital Singularity Fluid Storage Cell, crafted from an Advanced Fluid Cell Housing plus a Digital Singularity Cell Component.
For energy, there is the Digital Singularity Flux Storage Cell, crafted from an Advanced Flux Cell Housing plus a Digital Singularity Cell Component.
Description
I propose changing the above recipes as follows:
MEGA Bulk Storage Component
Ingredient: 1× 1M -> 1× 256M MEGA Storage Components
Ingredient: 1× 2³ -> 1× 128³ Spatial Component
Quantum Cell Component:
Ingredient: 3× 256k -> 3× MEGA Bulk Storage Components (alternatively, 3× 256M MEGA Storage Components)
A Digital Singularity Cell Component still costs 3 Quantum Cell Components, or 9 of the storage component used to craft them.
The proposed changes multiply the estimated resource costs of the three Digital Singularity cells and the ME Bulk Item Storage cell by 243. This encourages players to scale up their factories and resource production to craft these cells and gives a purpose to the MEGA cells in the mean time.
Limitations
Getting truly infinite storage is more difficult as explained above.
Any existing crafting setups using these recipes will need adjustment.
This may be more suited for a Craftoria: Advanced or a Statech Industry 2.0-type modpack.

have you looked at all the other storage options and their cost? they are also pretty cheap. I would venture to say that occultism storage makes item storage meaningless by midgame as well, as does soph storage, drawers, etc
