Using the app portal with a storage account requires a custom domain and certificate ?

The FrontDoor premium lab with Storage account worked correctly.

But the lab with storage account, application gateway has not worked for me.

Since we are doing HTTPS here, yes it is required to have a custom domain with a certificate.
Regarding the Storage account and the AppGW, what is your issue or where are you blocked ?
