@hcayless @martinascholger @sydb @AlexJitianu Do you see any reason not to add a (slightly adapted) version of the BSD licence that Hugh recently added to the TEI repo? Are there any components in this repo that the Oxygen folks might have some concern about?

I asked the management on the status of this issue. Hopefully, I'll get a response soon.

We consider the New BSD license that is already used on other TEI repository to be a good fit for this project as well. There is one mention, though. In this repository there are libraries (og4j , saxon9he.jar, eclipse-related) that have other types of licenses (Apache, MPL2.0, EPL 1.0) and must be specified as third-party libraries. Considering this, we could try creating a Maven project that dynamically downloads these libraries so we don't keep them in the repository anymore and simplify things.
