Generating docs throws a huge number of errors

Generating the Sphinx docs generates a lot of red text due to confusion resolving various classes, etc. I think this is also slowing the process down since it takes several (~30) seconds to generate the docs each build. This ticket documents the need to resolve as many of these internal errors as possible before releasing the 1.0.0 version of the CLI.
