Compatibility with Frontend Editing extension

We tried to combine using TV with Front End editing and had issues, and we gave up combining the two.
Do you know if they are compatible - Have you managed to make this work?
If not are there any plans to get these working together - fingers crossed.

Hi,
till yet, never needed this. And I think this will never happen for the 7.x series as all resources are needed for the 8.x version.

So, yes, it could happen in the future but no one (as I know) is working on this.

A good portion of FE editing is possible:

• the "output" of fe editing interface is done on a tt_content level, so works with TV+
• as TV+ uses a lot of hooks concerning content handling, so adding a new content element should position it correctly.

Don't have a current system using it, but had editors in the past for which I activated them...

@jpmschuler Very interesting. When we got it running it all seemed to work fine, but in page content was clearing the DB on save. We did not manage to solve why.
We wil have to try again now Front End editing has hit V2.

@opi99 How are things going to V8 branch. I know there is a lot to do. How far do you think you are from release. We are looking forward to be able to get TV running in V10.

I shortened my plan, the "ControlCenter" module isn't really necessary for a functional TV+, so I will move it to an other extension which will be made later. So at the moment I try to concentrate on the PageLayout part, the part that is missing.
