using browser audio instead of Sonos

Hi.
Just discovered this node which looks REALLY promising.
I have a n00b question: is it possible to play audio using the browser instead of using a SONOS speaker?
And if so: how?

i've never done that, but i think yes. Please see the node https://flows.nodered.org/node/node-red-contrib-play-sound. With some efforts, i think it's doable, because TTS Ultimate works even without Sonos.

nope, I was more interested is using your node as a text to audio tool (as in the old deprecated dashboard.)

If I were to play audio I'd rather use the new dashaboard.

I was interested in the possibility to use the speech sythesis without proprietary harwdare such as sonoss.

Hi, yes, you can use it without sonos. The node emits a playable file, you need only to pipe this file into a dashboard player that supports incoming audio data as input. Please take a look at the README. There should be all infos you need.
For audio on the dashboard, i cannot help you more, because i don't use it.
