Is there a way to have it NOT create tags/categories?

Hey guys,

So long story short, my ultimate goal with qbitmanage is to keep my private tracker torrents seeding forever.

Attempting to do this by trying to get qbitmanage to change the category of my private trackers (which I set up under trackers: in the config.) to "Seeding". Under share limits, I have it set a tag also called Seeding and change share limits to unlimited for anything categorized as Seeding.

For example, this is what I'm trying to do.

• Download torrent from privatetracker.com
• qbitmanage recognizes privatetracker.com and sets category to "Seeding".
• qbitmanage sets this torrent to unlimited seeding. (currently doing this via share_limits)

Here's what I have currently:

FOr the most part, it seems like it's gonna work, but on my dry runs, I notice it's ALSO creating tags based on trackers it doesn't recognize.
Also, it's created categories and I'm not sure exactly why but I don't want it to CREATE anything.

Here's a dry run I just did....
It's creating a tag called explodie.org and a couple of categories: Movies and Unsorted. These categories don't exist in Qbittorrent.
The Movies folder is associated with a category I have called "Videos - Movies" and my .....\Unsorted folder is the default save path for my completed torrents.

OK well I got it figured out I believe.... you have to kind of work with qbitmanage a bit....

And hashtag blessed.... I figured out my own solution...
For anyone looking to do what I do... (set category and tag on private trackers, then set to unlimited uploads and unpause it if it's stopped)

The keys were:

• cat_update: true
• tag_update: false
• Setting ALL folders under the cat: section. Not just the folders you're working with. If you don't want a category to be created, assign "": as the name of the category here.
• Setting trackers:.

Under cat: section, every path torrents are saved in on your file system HAVE to have an entry here. For me, putting "": /downloads/Complete/Unsorted keeps it from actually creating a category in qbittorrent... that's the "" at work.

Under the tracker: section, define the private trackers. I don't think the tag: matters since we set it to false, but the cat: does.

Then have your share_limits section set the tag to Seeding (for me it's so they don't show under Untagged in qbittorrent) and make sure you set max_ratio and max_seeding_time to -1

All this makes sure it does NOT create new categories and tags while making sure whatever trackers you specify will seed indefiniately.
